Wigan is the worst hit borough for Covid care home deaths in Greater Manchester

In total, 291 deaths were recorded in Wigan's care homes, between April 10, 2020 and March 31, 2021. The borough is also home to the worst-hit care home in the country, according to data from the CQC (Care Quality Commission).
