DALLAS - A 21-year-old man who police said broke into the Dallas Museum of Art, destroying $5 million worth of ancient artifacts, reportedly said he did it because he was "mad at his girl."This happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, when a spokeswoman for the museum said someone "forcibly entered" the museum.Police later identified the suspect as Brian Hernandez, who was taken into custody shortly after leaving the scene.

A bed bug was put in a glass tube so that bed bug sniffing dogs could train to find the pests. Bed bugs are not at all uncommon.

CHESTER, Pa. - Authorities in Chester have issued a murder warrant for a man accused of fatally shooting another man on May 5. According to the Chester City Police Department, a warrant has been issued for Jihad Perry for the murder of Robert Dungee. Police say officers responded to the area of East 14th Street on Widener University's Campus for a shooting that took place on the 1100 block of Hyatt Street in Chester. Authorities say Perry should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to contact Captain Matthew Goldschmidt at 614-447-8433. AdvertisementJihad Perry is wanted for murder in Chester, Pennsylvania, authorities say. 

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. - A newly-released dashcam video showed a North Carolina state trooper putting himself in the path of an oncoming wrong-way driver to avoid a bigger disaster.The State Highway Patrol said just after midnight on April 8, troopers responded to a call about a wrong-way vehicle traveling from Johnston County into Wake County. Trooper Cody Thao arrived and traveled and exited onto the Interstate 40 eastbound ramp to Rock Quarry Road. A teen had to be rescued after falling down a 40-foot well.  (Gaffney City Fire Department )GAFFNEY, S.C. - Firefighters in South Carolina said a teenager had to tread water and hold onto pipes to keep himself above water and alive after falling down a 40-foot well. The fire department in Gaffney said crews were called to Pacolet Highway just before 8 p.m. local time.When crews arrived, firefighters found a 14-year-old boy working to hold himself above water.

PHILADELPHIA - A woman has died after being shot in Burholme on Sunday morning, according to police.

Gloucester Township police are investigating after a car crashed into a home in Blackwood.  GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. - A driver who was intoxicated behind the wheel caused another car to crash into a Gloucester Township home early Saturday morning, according to police. Authorities say officers responded to a home on Douglas Avenue in Blackwood around 3:17 a.m.

PHILADELPHIA - Homicide detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Kensington. Authorities say the shooting happened on the 500 block of E Cornwall Street around 12:40 a.m.

PEORIA, Ariz. - A woman has been arrested after she reportedly killed her cousin with a hammer in their Peoria home Wednesday afternoon, police said.Officers say they visited a residence near 112th Avenue and Diana on a medical call and found the body of a 33-year-old man who had suffered "blunt force trauma."Investigators identified the suspect as 29-year-old Brianna Elise Zerth, a cousin and roommate of the victim.Court documents say the two had been drinking and got into an argument, which ended in the deadly attack.Zerth's 6-year-old daughter was home at the time but was not hurt. Officials say the girl told investigators that her mother had killed someone using a hammer.

PHILADELPHIA - A man is in critical condition after police say he was shot multiple times through the upper body on Friday.The shooting occurred on the 3000 block of North 17th Street shortly before noon in North Philadelphia. Police say the 25-year-old victim was shot multiple times in the chest and back.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man is facing murder charges after authorities say he claimed to have accidentally shot the driver of a car his was riding in last weekend. Marcus Moore, 34, was arrested Wednesday and charged with homicide in the shooting death of Maurice Jones early Sunday morning. According to investigators, Moore and two others were inside a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Morris when he was shot on I-95 near Columbus Boulevard. Police said Moore drove the Jeep to the emergency room at Jefferson Hospital and left in the car by the time officers arrived. Morris was later pronounced dead.Police later found the Jeep abandoned near the intersection of Front Street and Washington Avenue.

PHILADELPHIA - A teenage boy and girl were injured in a broad daylight shooting Thursday in North Philadelphia, according to police. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 1000 block of Seybert Mall around noon for reports of gunfire. Investigators said a boy and girl, both 17-years-old, suffered gunshot wounds to the right leg.

SEATTLE - Seattle Police have arrested a burglary suspect after they say he shot himself in the head while trying to run away from the scene of a break-in in a north Seattle neighborhood. A man told police he heard sounds coming from his garage around 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

COMPTON, Calif. - Authorities are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery of a smoke shop in Compton that resulted in the death of a man. It happened Tuesday evening at the "Smoke Shop" located in the 1500 block of S. Wilmington Avenue. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, four suspects entered the shop and pointed their handguns at an armed security guard inside.

DELAWARE COUNY - Nurses, paramedics and county officials all came out Wednesday to protest possible closures within the Crozer Health System.Several services are set to close across four Delaware County hospitals unless they approximately $24 million to Crozer's for-profit California-based owner Prospect Medical Holdings, according to officials.Those services include mental and rehabilitation, along with inpatient and outpatient substance abuse and crisis.Hospital staff, joined by local, county and state leaders, say they are fighting because lives are at stake. They also say reopening these services will be really hard after they are closed.Several services are planned to close across four hospitals in Delaware County.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say a jogger is expected to be okay after she was stabbed in the leg Wednesday afternoon in Center City.According to police, the 27-year-old victim was stabbed in the left thigh while jogging on the 800 block of South Broad Street around 4:30 p.m. The victim walked into a fire station roughly a block from where she was stabbed, police said. She was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where she was treated and released. AdvertisementPolice did not report any arrests immediately following the stabbing, and they did not share a motive or description of the suspect.

SNELLVILLE, Ga. - A baby girl died when she was left in a car for several hours after her father was arrested in Snellville, police say.Officials with the Snellville Police Department say shortly after 2:15 p.m., 20-year-old Davied Japez McCorry Whatley entered the lobby of their department to talk with a custodian.While he was there, police learned that Whatley had a warrant out for his arrest for a probation violation.
