Run by the Daily Record in partnership with NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government, the awards are now well established in the Scottish calendar and recognise those that go that extra mile to improve the health and wellbeing of others.Among the sponsors was Unison, which oversaw three categories.

Daily Record took a closer look at these categories, the winners and why their hard work didn't go unnoticed this year. The 2022 winner of the Nurse Award was Brenda Kirk.
