According to the latest figures from the Department of Health, no new deaths in people who tested positive for Covid-19 with 28 days were reported on today (June 1).
It is the first time zero new deaths have been recorded in a single day in 10 months. The last time the daily death toll was zero was on July 30 last year, according to the government's coronavirus data dashboard.
The total number of deaths recorded in the UK since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 127,782. Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics
