One of the country's best known travel companies, Joe Walsh Tours, which ceased trading in April of this year as a result of the impact of travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, is to reopen.
In April Joe Walsh Pilgrimtours Ltd, trading under a number of different brand names, said it was unable to fulfil its obligations to customers.
KPMG were appointed to liquidate the company. But following a sales process, David Walsh, who had been involved in running the firm prior to its closure, has bought the business and certain assets, including the Joe Walsh Tours brand from the liquidators.
The Pilgrimages Abroad & Concorde Travel brands have also been bought as part of the deal. The company said it is currently in the process of
