The weekly rates have fallen in five areas and stayed level in one area. Bolton continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in the region with 69.2 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending April 29, according to the latest data from Public Health England.
The lowest infection rate is in Stockport, where the rate is 20.4 cases per 100,000 people. In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 35.1 cases per 100,000 population - that’s still higher than the national average or 23.
