The Scottish Government has confirmed 16 people have died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. It brings the death toll since last March - of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - to 9,688.
The latest daily figures for Scotland showed 3,196 new cases had also been identified overnight.It brings the total number of positive cases to 752,805.There are currently 578 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 39 being treated in intensive care.To date, 4,358,725 people have received their first vaccination with 3,967,477 having a second jab, while 2,000,915 have received a third dose or booster.It comes as an official investigation begins into UK Government staff parties with the focus on three
