SAGE to hold 'emergency meeting' today over Indian Covid variant concerns in UK

A total of 35 cases of the so-called India variant are said to have been identified in Scotland since it emerged last month.

The UK has recorded 790 Covid infections linked to strains first discovered in India, according to the latest UK Government data.
