BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A heartbreaking scam targeting elderly people across the country has reportedly found two recent victims in Pennsylvania.Pennsylvania State Police say three men have been arrested in connection to two separate "Grandparent Scams" in the area.The first incident occurred on July 27, when an 88-year-old woman from Northampton County reported a scam phone call. She told police a man identifying himself as her grandson said he needed money to get out of jail.

Tyshaun Harvey, 21, was arrested by U.S. Marshalls in California.  POTTSTOWN, Pa. - A man sought in connection with a murder in Pottstown has been arrested in California, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney. Authorities say Tyshaun Harvey, 21, was sought for the murder of 22-year-old Nahmer Baird in Pottstown. Baird was reportedly killed after an alleged shootout between the occupants of his Nissan Sentra and a Chrysler 300 at Locust Alley and West Street on May 29, according to officials. His car then crashed head-on into a Dodge pickup truck two blocks away, injuring its male driver.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia police officer has been placed arrested and charged for threatening and assaulting his former partner, who is the mother of his four children. According to the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, Ramon Chaulisant, 33, was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, theft, possession of an instrument of crime, harassment, and related charges. Chaulisant has also been placed on administrative duty and his service weapon was confiscated by authorities, the DA's Office says. According to police, in February, Chausilant allegedly struck his former partner in the face and body at her home while he was visiting his children. The officer is accused of forcing the woman down a set of stairs and kicking her front door, doing damage to the door frame. Months later, in April, Chaulisant called police to his home to make a report against his former partner, who was trying to pick up their children, law enforcement says. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESOfficials say he also told responding officers that they would find his former partner "face down."On August 1, Chaulisant allegedly broke dishes during a verbal fight with the woman at her home before threatening to kill her, breaking her car window with a free weight and stealing her laptop and iPhone,  according to the DA's Office. Authorities say the couple's four children were present at during all of the incidents. "I want to thank PPD Internal Affairs and my office's Special Investigations Unit for effectively intervening in a highly dangerous situation for a mother and her four young children," District Attorney Larry Krasner said.

PHILADELPHIA - As the family of Ellen Greenberg searches for answers more than 10 years after her death, the Chester County District Attorney's Office is now taking over the case. Greenberg, a school teacher, was found stabbed to death inside her Manayunk apartment in January 2011.Her death came just a few days after she sent out save the dates for her upcoming wedding. Officials initially ruled her death as a suicide before changing it to homicide. Then, the medical examiner's office switched the matter of death back to suicide, but Greenberg's parents, Sandee and Josh, were determined to keep pushing for answers. They maintained that Greenberg could not have stabbed herself that many times."I want my daughter's name cleared, because there's no way that she could have done that to herself," Sandee Greenberg said on Good Day Philadelphia in 2021. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESGreenberg's parents filed a lawsuit against the medical examiner's office and were granted a non-jury trial to try and get the cause of death changed back to homicide or marked as "undecided." Tom Brennan, a private investigator, joined Greenberg's parents on Good Day Philadelphia and said Ellen's fiance's uncle removed items from the apartment after the crime scene was cleared, including two laptops and a cell phone. "Right then and there, that negates that chain of evidence," Brennan said. "That adversely impacts the chain of evidence on those devices so that anything that's discovered on those devices can be challenged in court."According to Brennan, the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office promised to provide a forensic analysis of Ellen's laptop, but the family never received a report.

LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa. - A woodchipper incident turned deadly after police say a teenage boy succumbed to his injuries Tuesday afternoon.The 17-year-old was reportedly working with a woodchipper when he was critically injured on Excelsior Road in Whitehall Township.He was medically evacuated to Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he reportedly died from his injuries.Police have yet to release the circumstance leading up to his death.MORE HEADLINES:The boy's identity is unknown at this time, but an autopsy is set to be conducted by the Lehigh County Coroner's Office, according to officials.His death is also being investigated by Pennsylvania State Police, Bethlehem Criminal Investigation Unit, Home Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Stew's Towing.

PHILADELPHIA - Family members of a man who was shot and killed over the weekend in Philadelphia say he was visiting the city to mourn the shooting death of a friend and local musician. Diniar Camp, 26, was found shot multiple times on the 1900 block of North 19th Street in North Philadelphia, according to police.In the days following his Camp's death, investigators from the Philadelphia Police Department named 22-year-old Marcus Whitehead as a suspect. Family members say Camp, a Philadelphia native, moved away from the city due to the increasing violence and only returned to mourn the death 26-year-old Joelill Foy. Joelill Foy, 26, was shot and killed outside his family's South Philadelphia home, according to police. Foy, a member of successful Philadelphia singing group 'Brotherly Love,' was a father of two and expecting a third when his life was cut short.Foy, a member of the successful signing group Brotherly Love, was visiting his family in South Philadelphia when he was gunned down. "[Diniar] left it because of all the crime that was going on, and he was losing friends day and day out, and he was tired, and he didn't want to be targeted," Diniar's mother, Kathi Camp, said.Loved ones said Diniar was also a singer and stayed away from the streets.

PHILADELPHIA - One woman's family is suddenly mourning the loss of a daughter, cousin and friend after she was killed in a brutal stabbing in Philadelphia last weekend.Ashley Lockhart, a 34-year-old mother, was reportedly found stabbed to death inside a Honda Odyssey on the 5300 block of Chestnut Street.Lockhart's first cousin, Senior Pastor William Brownlee, says he got the devastating call as he got offstage at an anti-violence event in Germantown."Told my cousin was murder," Brownlee said during Tuesday an interview on Good Day. "She was found murdered in a van, which was very tragic to me.

PHILADELPHIA - Three teenagers were shot outside of a Popeyes in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia, authorities say. According to police, the shooting happened Monday night at 4th Street and Lehigh Avenue, after a Popeyes store closed. The three teenagers were all employees of the Popeyes location, authorities told FOX 29's Steve Keeley. Police say the employees were sitting in a car when they were shot. One of the teens died from his injuries and the other two employees are in the hospital, authorities say.   The car the employees were in could be seen riddled with bullet holes and evidence markers were placed in the street as police analyzed the crime scene. Authorities have not released any other information about the shooting or a possible motive in the case. A late night shooting in North Philadelphia left 1 dead and two others injured, police say. PHILADELPHIA - Police have released the photo of a man they say is responsible for a string of burglaries that resulted in more than $10,000 being stolen.Three Philadelphia restaurants reportedly became the victims of a crime spree that only lasted a few hours.On August 4, police say the suspect stole a reported $8,000 from Evo Brick Oven Pizza on Mount Pleasant Avenue around 12:30 a.m.Surveillance footage reportedly showed the suspect breaking into the restaurant's basement, robbing the register and leaving with two stolen safes.Just two hours later, police say $2,100 was stolen from High Point Cafe on Carpenter Lane by the same man.

PHILADELPHIA - An encampment that was established to protest the sale of The University City Townhomes, one of the last remaining affordable housing units in West Philadelphia, has been shut down by police. On Friday, a Philadelphia judge said the encampment must be disassembled by Monday at 9 a.m., but residents said they would not budge as the city scrambled to find suitable alternatives. By Monday, the encampment was still set up as residents protested. Residents of an affordable housing unit in West Philadelphia are protesting the sale of the building by staying in an encampment on the property. Man dies after being struck by car in Northeast Philadelphia.  PHILADELPHIA - A car struck and killed a man in Northeast Philadelphia Saturday night - despite a passerby's attempt to save his life.Police say a car was driving on Grant Avenue when he hit a 39-year-old man sitting in the left lane near Blue Grass Road.The driver reportedly tried to brake, but still struck the victim, throwing him over several lanes.A passerby attempted life-saving measures by applying a tourniquet to the victim's leg as he laid unresponsive on the road, according to police.MORE HEADLINES:He was pronounced dead on the scene by medics.The driver, a 20-year-old man, was not injured, and no charges have been filed at this time.Police are currently investigating the fatal crash.
