Due to the nature of the incident, the Youth Services Criminal Investigations Division took up the case. The boy was arrested following an interview with detectives. "This student’s behavior is sickening, especially after the recent tragedy in Uvalde, Texas," stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno.

BEAR, Del. - Delaware State Police are investigating a fight that led to a chase and shooting near Bear.Officials say the fight began Saturday night, around 10 p.m., in the parking lot of a Wawa on the 2700 block of Pulaski Highway, in Newark. A 32-year-old Elkton man and a suspect had an altercation in the parking lot, which led the suspect to pull a gun.The Elkton man got into his vehicle and drove off, heading south, while being chased by the suspect.At the intersection of Route 896 and Howell School Road, officials say the suspect confronted the man again, pulling up alongside the man’s vehicle and firing the weapon.The man was shot in the head.

LOGAN - Philadelphia police are investigating a triple shooting in Logan that injured two teens and a 63-year-old man.Police responded to the 4900 block of North 16th Street early Sunday, around 2:30 a.m., on the report of gunshots.According to officials, a 16 and 17-year-old were sitting on a stoop when a red SUV drove by, shooting a handgun out of an open window.The two teens were each struck by gunfire and a 63-year-old man inside of a home was shot in the hand.Authorities say 17 shots were fired.

Downtown Chattanooga area has left multiple people injured, according to reports. The exact number of victims is not yet known at this time but the Chattanooga Police Department said victims are believed to be young and in their teens or up to 20 years old, WTVC reported.The CPD officers also speculated the victims of the shooting may have been bystanders as large groups of juveniles were spotted in the area and the victims are not believed to have been directly involved in the incident, according to the report.One person of interest has been detained and police said there is no further threat to the public.However, officers are encouraging residents to avoid traveling in the area amid the ongoing investigation. This is a developing situation.AdvertisementRead more from FOX News

WEST PHILADELPHIA - Police in West Philadelphia are investigating a shooting that injured a four-year-old child.Officials say police were called to the 4200 block of Fairmount Avenue on the report of a child shot inside a vehicle.When police arrived, they discovered a four-year-old had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the hand.The child was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in a private vehicle and placed in stable condition.AdvertisementPolice say the investigation is ongoing.

POTTSTOWN, Pa. - There are new details in the deadly Pottstown explosion. Five people are dead, while two are injured, in the Montgomery County community.From the air, the site of the explosion looks like a war zone, with rubble twisted and strewn for yards.Tanya Johnson lives a few doors away. PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a robbery at a North Philadelphia Popeyes that was caught on surveillance video. According to police, the robbery happened on May 6 at the Popeyes restaurant located at 314 W Lehigh Avenue. Authorities say a man pried open the restaurant's back door and took cash from both registers. Video released by police shows the suspect dismantling the cash registered before carrying them out of the store. Police say the suspect managed to take $200 before fleeing in an unknown direction. Anyone with information on the robbery is urged to contact police at 215-686-8477 or submit an anonymous tip. AdvertisementPolice are searching for a suspect in connection with a robbery at a Popeyes in North Philadelphia.

Go in there!" nearby women shouted at the officers soon after the attack began, said Juan Carranza, 24, who saw the scene from outside his house, across the street from Robb Elementary School in the close-knit town of Uvalde. Carranza said the officers did not go in.Javier Cazares, whose fourth grade daughter, Jacklyn Cazares, was killed in the attack, said he raced to the school when he heard about the shooting, arriving while police were still gathered outside the building.Upset that police were not moving in, he raised the idea of charging into the school with several other bystanders."Let’s just rush in because the cops aren’t doing anything like they are supposed to," he said.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a crash that left a nine-year-old dead and a mother and another child injured. According to authorities, the crash happened in the area of Germantown and Erie Avenues just before 11:30 p.m. Chief Inspector Scott Small says officers with the 25th District and paramedics responded to the scene and found a 2017 Honda Sedan that crashed into the back of a parked unattended minibus. The Honda, with three females inside, sustained heavy damage to the front of the vehicle, Small says. Police are investigating a crash in North Philadelphia at Germantown and Erie Avenues.  Authorities say the driver, a 33-year-old woman, was transported to Temple Hospital with injuries to the face and a possible broken leg. The driver's two daughters, a seven-year-old and nine-year-old, were also in the car, according to police. Police say the two girls were transported to Saint Christopher's. The seven-year-old child is in stable condition with bumps and bruises, but the nine-year-old was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m., Small says. Police are investigating the cause of the crash, but believe the Honda was traveling eastbound on the 1300 block of Erie Avenue. Authorities said accident investigators are processing the scene and parts of the Honda were found 100 feet west that are believed to have ended up there before the car crashed. Small says there is no evidence the driver was impaired at this time, but they believe the Honda may have been traveling at a high rate of speed. AdvertisementThis is a developing story.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - Members of a Montgomery County community gathered Wednesday to discuss mental health in the wake of a shooting at a Texas elementary school that killed 21 people, including 19 children. "It hit home today, especially what happen in Texas and what happened earlier in the month in Buffalo, it's a tough time," Tony Darden said. Authorities say Salvador Ramos, 18, shot his 66-year-old grandmother in the face at their Uvalde home, then fled in her truck as she summoned help, according to Gov. Greg Abbott, Texas Public Safety Director Steve McCraw and other officials.A short distance away, Ramos crashed the truck outside the school, got out with a rifle and approached a back door, officials said.
