Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has commented that receiving his Covid-19 vaccine jabs may have saved his life after he fell ill with the virus.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, has revealed that he tested positive for Covid-19 after attending the Euros 2020 final at Wembley earlier this month.

In his latest column for the Daily Mail, Piers has commented how lucky he has been to be vaccinated and contemplated what difference it would have made have bene unvaccinated.

Piers compared his situation to his friend and former GMB co-star Kate Garraway’s husband Derek Draper who was almost killed by the virus last year and is now still recovering at home.
