YouTube launches $100 million fund to support Black creators
Black Lives Matter movement.CEO Susan Wojcicki announced the news in her second letter to creators this year, explaining: ‘Today, we’re announcing a multi-year $100 million fund dedicated to amplifying and developing the voices of Black creators and artists and their stories.’She went on to say that the site will be hosting the Bear Witness, Take Action livestream, on 13 June which will feature roundtable discussions and musical performances from creators, artists, influential public figures. Donations will go to the Equal Justice Initiative.Elsewhere on the site, the Spotlight channel will focus on highlighting racial injustice issues, including protest footage.
