Virginia teen with deadly disease defies odds, graduates high school
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - By all accounts, Dante Herrera of Virginia Beach, Virginia, spent his first few years of life actively running, playing and doing what little boys typically do. But shortly after, his mother, Marlo Dean, said his behavior changed and doctors misdiagnosed him with autism and ADHD. However, she then noticed Dante’s ankles were turning inward and returned to the doctor. "That really bothered me because autism doesn’t do that," Dean told FOX Television Stations Sunday. Dante Herrera, 19, poses with family members after graduating high school.
