No fixed timeline at present for completion of covid vax drive, govt to parliament

₹8071.09 crore have been spent on purchase of covid-19 vaccines out of the budget outlay of Rs. 35,000 crores as of July 2021," the government said adding that till 20th July 2021, a total of 42.51 crore doses have been supplied to States/UTs through all sources of which 40.36 crore doses have been utilized during the ongoing vaccination drive.

Replying to a question whether there is any shortage of vaccines in the country, the government said that there has been no shortage of vaccines and Government of India has been providing free supply of vaccines to States/UTs for administration to prioritized beneficiaries as recommended by NEGVAC.
