NI announces system of mandatory hotel quarantine

A system of mandatory hotel quarantine has been announced for Northern Ireland. The "managed isolation" arrangements were confirmed late on Friday night, ahead of the return of international flights to local airports.

Passengers who have been in or transited through so called "red list" countries in the previous 10 days must book and pay for a 10 day stay in "managed isolation" at a designated hotel.

Red list countries include Brazil, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. The booking includes airport pick-up and transfer to a designated hotel and PCR testing kits.
