Mohamed Salah has been denied permission by Liverpool to play Egypt's game with Angola in the upcoming international break. As Gabon is an amber-listed country for the UK government's travel list, the Reds have no problem with Salah playing that match on Sunday, September 5.
However, as Egypt is red-listed at present, it would mean he would have to quarantine upon his return if he went back to his home country.Their World Cup qualifier at home next Thursday would force Salah to have to quarantine on his return to England.Liverpool insist the same principle applies to any player who is being asked to travel to a red-listed country and would therefore have to quarantine upon their return.
