Coronavirus infection rates have gone up in eight boroughs of Greater Manchester according to new data. The weekly rates have fallen in one borough , and rates have stayed level in one other area.
Trafford continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, with a rate of 592.2 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending December 8.
The lowest infection rate is in Oldham, where the rate is 333.7 cases per 100,000 people, according to the latest data from the UK Health Security Agency.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 436.5 cases per 100,000 population. The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 509.6 cases per 100,000 people.
