Coronavirus infection rates have gone up in seven of Greater Manchester's ten boroughs, latest figures reveal. In Trafford, the 'weekly trend' has surged by 40 per cent.

The Manchester Evening News reported bosses in the borough have described the situation as 'very grave', with new guidance issued on children isolating and face masks at schools.
