PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office is expected to announce charges against three former city detectives for their part in a decades-old murder conviction that was only recently overturned.

District Attorney Larry Krasner and Conviction Integrity Unit Supervisor Patricia Cummings will hold a 1 p.m. press conference where they are expected to outline the findings of a grand jury investigation into the 1993 murder conviction of Anthony Wright.

Wright was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the rape and murder of Louise Talley, a 77-year-old North Philadelphia resident.

Tequila could become America’s favorite liquor, data trends show

General Declaration on the Protection of the Appellation of Origin Tequila, as put forth by Mexico’s Tequila Regulatory Council. Tequila popularity has been steadily growing since 2002 and in 2021 alone, 26.9 million 9-liter cases of tequila were sold, according to the Distilled Spirits Council. Compared to vodka, which still has the top spot in Americans’ hearts, tequila sales grew by 30.1% compared to vodka sales which only grew by 4.9% in 2021 alone. LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - Washington Commanders safety Deshazor Everett has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for the fatal car crash that took the life of his girlfriend Olivia Peters.
