Kate Garraway has admitted she is struggling without husband Derek Draper who is still in hospital 10 months after he tested positive for Covid-19. Former political aide Derek had the worst coronavirus infection of any surviving patient, and nearly died six times at the height of his fight with the virus, The Mirror reports.

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has made some heartbreaking revelations about her husband Derek Draper's ongoing battle with his health. Derek remains in hospital after being diagnosed with coronavirus in March of last year, as Kate brings up their two kids alone.While he has since recovered from the virus, it has left him with holes in his lungs and heart, as well as diabetes.Kate, 53, revealed in an interview that doctors told her Derek's infection was the "highest they had seen in a patient who had lived".But Kate remains upbeat and said she is hoping to see "some kind of trajectory of improvement".
