Italy lifts all Covid entry requirements for holidaymakers from today

Italy has dropped all Covid entry requirements for holidaymakers from today. The rule change means that travellers no longer require to show proof of vaccination, a negative test result or a Covid recovery certificate from June 1.

All passengers entering Italy by plane, ferry or coach must continue to wear a FFP2 mask in order to enter the country. The news comes as Covid cases in the country continue to fall, according to the latest Italian government data.

Italy has been considered by many to be the initial European epicentre of the pandemic, as cases surged in the country during the early part of 2020.
