Christmas is a special time for families and friends to come together - something that is appreciated more than ever following months of lockdowns and ever changing restrictions since the arrival of Covid.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the country earlier this week and promised no more restrictions before the big day. But for some this year, they were already told they would have to spend the festive period completely alone, confined to their bedrooms with no-one to share a Christmas dinner with or gift presents too.
Sarah Miller, 24, says she had all the symptoms of the new Omicron variant before testing positive on December 18. Her 10 day isolation will end on the 28th - just three days after Christmas.
