(FOX 9) - The Northfield Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a six-year-old girl after her mother was found dead in their home this weekend.Police said they responded to a call around 11:50 a.m. Saturday at a residence in the 600 block of Maple Brook Ct and discovered Lisa Wade, 39, who died of an apparent suicide.

HOUSTON - The Austin, Texas, woman accused of killing cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson is in jail in Harris County awaiting transport back to Travis County.34-year-old Kaitlin Armstrong arrived at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston Saturday after being arrested by US Marshals in Costa Rica last week. Armstrong is charged with murder in the shooting death of 25-year-old Moriah Wilson at a home on Maple Avenue in East Austin on May 11. Armstrong was captured Wednesday in a remote Costa Rican beach town after 43 days on the run.

ALTOONA, Pa. - A Pennsylvania prosecutor has ruled that a late police sergeant was justified in using deadly force that resulted in the accidental shooting death of a jail guard during a hostage situation at a county courthouse last fall.Authorities said an inmate had been taken from the Blair County jail to the courthouse in Altoona for a hearing in November when he allegedly disarmed corrections officer Rhonda Jean Russell. A police sergeant fired a shot at the inmate but hit 47-year-old Russell, a 14-year veteran who was pronounced dead at UPMC Altoona.District Attorney Pete Weeks said last week that the use of deadly force by the police sergeant, who officials said died several months later of natural causes, was justified under the law.

PHILADELPHIA - A crash involving a moped and car left one driver in critical condition Saturday night.Police say the driver of a moped was running a red light when he was hit by an Audi at the intersection of Loretto and Magee avenues around 7 p.m. The Audi driver was driving through a green light, according to police.The moped driver, a 51-year-old man, suffered head trauma and was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Tucson Police Department says a woman was shot and killed by her boyfriend after they got into a car crash on July 1.At around 2 p.m., Sgt. (FOX 9) - Authorities recovered the bodies of a woman and three children from Vadnais Lake after multiple agencies began searching the water Friday night following a potential triple homicide. Multiple agencies searched the water Friday and Saturday for a woman and her three missing young children, including two boys and one girl. During a press conference Saturday, Undersheriff Mike Martin said one child was pulled out of the water Friday night, a second child was recovered just after midnight Saturday and the third child was recovered around11:00 a.m.

Sheila O'Leary is facing life in prison. NEW JERSEY - A motorcyclist died after he was hit by a car while attempting to cross the NJ turnpike, according to New Jersey State Police. Troopers say 48-year-old Andrew Aaron of Glenolden, Pennsylvania was operating a Harley Davidson southbound on the NJ Turnpike. According to authorities, Aaron lost control of the motorcycle, struck a guardrail and ended up on the left shoulder of the highway. The man ran across both lanes and was struck by a Lexus traveling in the right lane, police say. Authorities say he did not survive the injuries sustained in the crash. NJ State Police say the crash remains under investigation.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Four people have been charged in connection with the deaths of 53 migrants being smuggled inside a tractor trailer in southwest San Antonio.45-year-old Homero Zamorano Jr, 28-year-old Christian Martinez, 23-year-old Juan Claudio D’Luna-Mendez, and 48-year-old Juan Francisco D’Luna-Bilbao all face criminal charges for their alleged involvement in the smuggling operation in violation of Title 8 of United States Code, Section 1324.The charges are as follows:According to court documents, Homeland Security responded to the scene involving a tractor trailer and 64 people suspected of entering the US illegally on Monday, June 27.
