Vernon Kay is feeling gutted this weekend as he has had to pull out of one of the biggest presenting gigs of his career – hosting This Morning.
The broadcaster, who is married to Strictly presenter Tess Daly, had been announced as Phillip Schofield’s fill-in while he took a few days off to enjoy the last of the summer.
Vernon was supposed to join Rochelle Humes in the ITV studio from Tuesday but things have taken a quick turn for the worst as he has been stopped in his tracks by testing positive for Coronavirus.
Speaking to The Sun, the 47-year-old said he is feeling ‘absolutely gutted’ to miss out on the massive opportunity. Vernon will now have to isolate at home while ITV scramble to find a last minute replacement.
