It's also linked to several major religious holidays, including Easter. The pink moon will light up by 3 p.m. Eastern Saturday, but you won’t be able to see it until after sunset.

Sunset times depend on where you live; check your local forecast for sunset times. Supermoons happen when the moon is full and its orbit is closest to Earth, making the moon appear slightly larger and more vivid.
