NEW DELHI: Five people were arrested in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, under the National Security Act (NSA) for allegedly attacking police personnel.
This follows the state government's decision to invoke NSA against those who were found attacking medical personnel deployed on covid-19 duty.
Earlier today, a medical team visiting Bilotipura in Ujjain for a survey of claimed that they were verbally abused and threatened by the residents of the area.
On Thursday, following an attack against medical personnel in Indore, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had said that the NSA would be used against those involved in the alleged attacks.
