BENSALEM, Pa. - The Bensalem Township Police Department is drafting a plan to combat car meetups after nearly 300 cars gathered at Neshaminy Mall over the weekend. According to police, the large number of cars gathered at the mall on Saturday around 11:30 p.m., more than three hours after the mall closed for the night. People gathered as vehicles did car tricks like burnouts and donuts in the middle of a crowd, authorities say. Officials say investigators learned the same group of vehicles was at the Oxford Valley Mall first before heading to Neshaminy Mall. After the group was dispersed, the cars then gathered at Willow Grove mall, according to police. "This has been a growing problem for many communities in Southeastern Pennsylvania," police said.

COLOMBO (News 1st) –  Two teenage boys died after they drowned in a flooded quarry pit in Thun-Anda-Hena in Athurugiriya.They were reportedly playing inside the pit after school on Monday (17).According to relatives, as the boys did not return home later in the evening they decided to search for them and only located their clothes.The deceased were 14-year-old Sandun Nimsara, and 15-year-old Nadun Induruwa.Sri Lanka Police said that the boys had attempted to paddle a makeshift raft and drowned when it toppled over.The Disaster Management Center appeals to the general public to refrain from playing in water holes, and from visiting landslide-prone areas.

CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Officials with Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a robbery where the suspect was seen wearing a clown mask and armed with a sword. According to police, the robbery took place on Thursday at 4:54 a.m.MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAuthorities say the suspect walked into the back of the Uni-Mart in Chestnuthill Township and showed his sword, demanding the cashier open the register. After taking cash, the suspect then fled into a wooded area, police say. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Trooper Weinstock at 570-646-2271. 

WEST ALLIS, Wis. - A mother and father in West Allis are both charged in connection with the death of their toddler. Court records say the 17-month-old had enough fentanyl in her system to kill an adult.A neighbor said the child, identified by the medical examiner as Alieonni Lane, was a beautiful little girl and was heartbroken to learn the child died Oct. 2.

Officials with the Coatesville Area School District say nearly 1,500 students were evacuated following a message that threatened the ignition of the school on Monday afternoon.  COATESVILLE, Pa. - Officials with the Coatesville Area School District say the Senior High School was evacuated after the safety of its students and staff were at risk following a threat that was made on Monday. Just after 8:30 a.m., officials with the district say they received a message indicating that an accelerant was placed in the Senior High School and that it would be ignited at noon. The Coatesville Area Senior High School and the Intermediate High School were placed on restrictive movement until local authorities decided to conduct a search using accelerant-detecting K9s, causing nearly 1,500 students to be evacuated. The Chester County Assistant Fire Marshall says that 1,400 students and 120 staff members were relocated to the football stadium as all backpacks remained inside the building to get swept by the K9s. As students and staff waited at the stadium, officials say another message was received indicating that there were weapons on campus. After about an hour in the stadium, officials say a series of fights broke out between different groups of students, resulting in a county-wide request for assistance.
