second wave of Covid-19 seem to subside in the national capital, the city has been left with less than 500 containment zones, dipping from over 58,000 in the peak of May.
According to the state government's data, the 11 districts of Delhi on Wednesday had 472 containment zones. The number is the lowest in a year since 8 July 2020, when there were 448 containment zones.
In addition, none of the 472 zones is in the southeast district. This is the first time in over 13 months that a whole district has seen no demarcated containment area.
The last active containment zone in the district was denotified on Monday. No district in Delhi has had zero containment zones since 14 June last year.
