Covid cases rocket in Renfrewshire schools as hundreds are asked to self isolate

Get the latest Scottish parenting news sent straight to your inbox each week with our newsletter.Covid cases in schools have rocketed in the past fortnight - with almost 200 positive people identified on campuses.Documents obtained by the Paisley Daily Express show that 189 pupils and staff have tested positive for the virus since May 20.They are spread across 26 schools in the local authority area.Hundreds more children have been asked to self-isolate.The news comes as it is confirmed that Renfrew North and Renfrew West have both recorded more than 900 cases per 100,000 of population.This has resulted in an influx of cases at Kirklandneuk Primary School specifically.A cluster in the immediate community around the school has seen 110 people.
