Covid-19 at a Scots prison has left families “gravely concerned” as they claim the virus is “out of control.” It comes a week after a nurse described the situation at HMP Low Moss in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire as pure hell.

The prison, which houses around 760, currently has 104 prisoners isolating, with 20 confirmed cases of the virus. Scottish Prison Service (SPS) chiefs said only 30 prisoners are self-isolating across eight other prisons with 22 confirmed cases.

One family member said the prisoners at Low Moss are “dropping like flies”. The woman told the Daily Record: “I am gravely concerned about the outbreak in Low Moss prison.
