He may hold the Guinness World Record for the longest serving soap star but Corrie’s Bill Roache, aka Ken Barlow, is taking a bit of a break.
The 88-year-old actor has been forced to stop filming on the ITV smash-hit soap after testing positive for COVID-19. A spokesperson for the show released a statement to clarify the legendary Corrie star’s reason for hanging up his acting boots temporarily, as he was last on set at the beginning of March. ‘He has recovered well and is looking forward to coming back to the cobbles as soon as possible,’ the spokeswoman said.
The Sun reports that the veteran actor was hesitant to take time off in the fear he would not return. Citing how it is unusual for Bill to take time off from the show, a source told
