A ceremony will be held in Dublin this evening to remember the lives of people lost during the Covid-19 pandemic. Recent figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show that 76% of those who died with Covid-19 were aged over 75.
The event, which will be held in the Unitarian Church in Dublin, has been organised by ALONE, the organisation that supports older people to age at home.
It will also be streamed online from 4pm. The ceremony, led by Reverend Bridget Spain, will attended by staff, management, trustees and older people who benefit from the work of ALONE.
