PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say five people were hurt and several cars were vandalized when three unruly swimmers became violent after being told to leave a Philadelphia pool. The incident happened Thursday afternoon at the McVeigh Playground Rec Center on the 400 block of East Ontario Street, according to police.Investigators say staff members repeatedly asked three female swimmers to leave for "unruly behavior" but they refused and became hostile. PHILADELPHIA - Family members of a woman and two children who were struck by a hit-and-run driver in Philadelphia say they forgive the wanted person and called it a miracle that the crash did not result in deadly injuries. Officers responded to the intersection of 50th Street and Haverford Avenue Monday night for reports of a hit-and-run. Investigators said a 29-year-old woman and two girls, ages 3 and 13, were standing on the roadside when a vehicle hopped the curb and struck all three. The woman, later identified as Serena Grigsby, suffered a severe leg injury and was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.

Indiana pizza delivery man who was injured while saving two children and three teens from a burning house last week has raised more than half a million dollars.Nicholas Bostic, a 25-year-old from Lafayette, Ind., was hailed as a hero after he rescued the five youths.
