Andrew Marr reveals he had ‘nasty bout’ of Covid despite being ‘double-jabbed’

BBC news presenter Andrew Marr returned to his usual Sunday seat on his programme, The Andrew Marr Show this morning after an absence the previous week.

He welcomed viewers and told them he had contracted Covid-19 last week despite being double-jabbed and it was “nasty”. He opened this week’s show by thanking Nick Robinson for stepping in for him last week and said: “I had a bit of Covid last week despite being double-jabbed and very nasty it was too.” Andrew, 61, likened his early symptoms of the virus to that of the “summer cold” and said for some time he was completely unaware he’d contracted the virus.

He made the announcement before going into an interview with Professor Sir Peter Horby, of virus advisory group Nervtag, whom he asked.
