WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday will commemorate the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, a landmark civil rights law for Americans with disabilities.
Biden, who was a co-sponsor of the bill as a senator, is set to give remarks from the Rose Garden at the White House at 11:10 a.m.
ET. He'll be joined by Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff.The law prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, as well as all public and private places that are open to the general public.
