FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Prosecutors in the case of Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz are calling for an investigation after a juror said she felt threatened by another member of the jury during deliberations that ended with a life sentence for Cruz’s murder of 17 people.The motion calls for law enforcement to interview the unnamed juror after she told the state attorney’s office about what "she perceived to be a threat from a fellow juror while in the jury room." No further details were given. A hearing was held Friday afternoon, where the judge said the matter should be in the hands of law enforcement.The jury foreman said three of the jurors ultimately voted for life in prison, with one of them being a "hard no" on the death penalty and another two ultimately choosing to vote against it as well.A divided jury spared Cruz the death penalty and instead decided to send him to prison for the rest of his life in a decision that left many families of the victims angered, baffled and in tears.

PHILADELPHIA - Two Wawa employees were pepper sprayed early Thursday morning at a store in University City, police say. According to authorities, the incident occurred at the Wawa on the 3600 block of Chestnut Street around 1 a.m. Police did not release further details about the incident or investigation. This comes as it has been revealed that Wawa is considering removing Philadelphia from its expansion plans because of concerns over crime in the city. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia Councilmember Mike Driscoll received the information from a senior Wawa representative. Driscoll says he met with the representative one day after the Wawa in Mayfair was ransacked by dozens of juveniles. In a statement, a spokesperson for Wawa said they do not comment on their planning process. Since 2020, at least four Wawas have closed their doors and others have cut their hours. 

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man in North Philadelphia.Officials say 39th District officers were called to the 3100 block of North Stillman Street Wednesday evening, just about 5 p.m., on the report of a shooting.Officers found a 42-year-old man suffering with a gunshot wound to the chest, when they arrived.Police rushed him to Temple University Hospital where he died a short time later.An investigation into a possible motive is ongoing. A man in Alabama allegedly poured boiling water down his 1-year-old baby's throat while he was out on bond in relation to a domestic violence charge.Eugene Lamont Sneed, 23, was out on bond in relation to a 2020 domestic violence charge when he allegedly poured the boiling hot water down the throat of his daughter on Sunday, who is only 1, according to FOX 17.Niktoria Lett, the mother of the 1-year-old, Royalty, said that the baby was left alone with Sneed, who is the baby's father, on Sunday. When Lett got back to the apartment, she saw Royalty's face "all messed up," according to FOX 10."I get in the apartment and my whole my, my baby face is just messed up," Lett explained.

LOS ANGELES - New details have been released in the stabbing of a Fashion District store owner in downtown Los Angeles – who possibly may have been murdered over a wig.Tommy Lee immigrated to the United States from South Korea and owned a wig shop in the Fashion District for about 20 years.On Saturday, around 1:15 p.m. near the intersection of Wall Street and Olympic Boulevard, two 17-year-olds approached Lee and tried to rob him.
